Georgina Wood After many years of being a Cottons member and using the facilities on an ad-hoc basis, I chatted with Georgina about having the confidence and fitness to enter a 10k race and complete it in less than 1hr. My motivation to exercise was being affected, by the stress of my work. Georgina educated me on how to improve my running, which included using weights and core body training. I saw a reduction in my body fat by 4.8% and my resting heart rate (which meant I was overall fitter). My hip measurement reduced and I completed my 10k race in less than 1hr – hurraaaaaaaaaah! I contacted Paul Mason at Cheshire Personal Training and after an in depth consultation designed to match me with the right trainer he recommended Roger as the ideal Trainer to meet my needs and I found in Roger what I had been looking for.
However with Roger, I have found it’s no nonsense. I am not on diets that don’t work for me in fact I am not on any diet – just sensible eating. I am training at a level which takes into account my personal ability and also that I have responsibilities as the principle earner in my household and 2 young children.
That’s not to say that Roger doesn’t push you. Believe me he does. But I always find an encouragement behind it all. A "willing me on" to get into the shape I want to be in. Over the few months I have been working Roger I have lost weight but more importantly have got back my enthusiasm for working out. There have been times where I have struggled. With being a family man things happen – unexpected stresses, lack of sleep etc. But not once has Roger made me feel bad about what I can’t do. Rather he has focused on how much I have done and the positive aspects of my training. Exercises I have been struggling with have been changed to suit me. Of course he throws in a challenge every now and again however it’s never too much. In fact I look forward to the little sojourns. This has really encouraged me. I found running particularly a hard thing to do. However just this week I started running with Roger and I found it so much easier than before. In fact off the back of his session I decided to regularly start cycling to and from work (9 miles each way). And I am hoping to build up enough stamina to regularly run every day. The important lesson from Roger’s training I have learnt is to relax and enjoy what I am doing. And that sums up Roger’s training. Incredibly hard work, challenging, encouraging but most of all relaxed.

Since starting work with Roger i have to say I am very happy with the ways things are going and also the progress I am making. For the first time in a few years I can actually see some significant results. My body is starting to change I can see definition in all of my upper body muscles and steadily the fat around my stomach is becoming more mobile and starting to shift. As I mentioned to you before I have had other trainers and in the 3 or so months I have been working with Roger I have seen better results than with some of the other trainers I have worked with for 2 years.
I find Roger really encouraging and never gives me a hard time when things go a bit awry due to work or family commitments. He challenges me too, some of the exercises we have done recently are new and certainly make me tired both mentally and physically. His laid back approach has really motivated me to do things for myself and I have taken up cycling to work again

I worked with Georgina for a period of 8 weeks, the first session was Georgina getting to know what my specific goals were and putting together a programme for me.
The program as absolutely terrific, each time i would reach a certain level, Georgina would adjust things accordingly and make sure i was always pushed to my limit, Not easy but its not supposed to be!
Gorginas attention to detail is excellent and she is a fantastic motivator.
I have no hesitation in rcommending this very talented Lady to anyone.

Beverley has bee training me for over a year now. I took a few months to watch her training other people in the gym, feeling slightly intimidated with some of the exercises i saw!, before i decided i should go for it!
Bev''s skill is in making you feel confident that you can do what she asks you to do, and tailoring the exercisesto your own bodyand abilities, encouraging you to push yourself slightly further than yyou think you can but listening when you simply cant.
She is invariably cheerful and fun to work with and seems genuinely happy to be making you fitter and stronger.
I would definately recommend Bev for any level of fitness.

As a complete gym hater and really un-sporty person, I truly dreaded the prospect of my first few sessions but, Georgina put me at ease immediately, putting me through my paces so that I began to realise just how unfit I really was.
I wanted to loose weight but also seriously tone up and Georgina’s passion for personal training and fitness coupled with her complete joy at seeing her “victims” sweat vigorously and shake, makes each session more and more enjoyable because of the results she gets! The gleeful texts I receive from her on the mornings after my sessions; just to see if I can move help with the pain!
Georgina is great fun and the challenge to get my body to even begin to look a little like hers makes me go to the gym 3 times a week to practice the plans in order to be “torture” a bit further on my next session.
I have learnt so much and enjoyed my sessions over the last four months so much so that I am Just starting my third lot of "torture". I cannot recommend her enough; if I can do it, anyone can!

At the end of last year I was heartily fed up of the gym rut I had fallen into – half an hour of running and a few grumpy sit ups. I needed to either pick up the pace or give up – and blessed with a body that gains two stones and bloats if not minded carefully the latter was not an option.
I started training with Bev just before Christmas last year, one morning a week for an hour. She identified my goals – to build strength, particularly abs and upper body, improve overall fitness and lose half a stone. From the start she gave me workouts that were achievable but always pushed me to do more than I thought I could, which week after week was hugely satisfying. She has shown me loads of ways to use all the equipment in the gym to get a much more interesting and challenging work out than I had ever been able to achieve before and has also given me several programmes to do on my own. As I get better – they get harder – she always has another trick up her sleeve to keep me progressing…
I started off with 6 sessions and 6 months later I am still going back for more. I am undoubtedly much stronger and fitter than I was. My running has improved and I can now run much further and a bit faster because my legs are stronger and overall fitness has improved. My husband says in certain lights I might even look a bit athletic and my daughter (age 8) says I now have a tummy like a teenager – they are my greatest fans! All dietary lapses I confess are mine and mine alone…
I can’t recommend Bev highly enough – she is motivating, knowledgeable and combines professionalism with a wicked sense of humour that makes the sessions fly by.1f Carslberg made personal trainers – they’d make them like Bev!

I booked Paul initially because i was amazed by his extensive knowledge of his subject, he hasn't disappointed.
Paul has designed fitness and weight loss programs for me that have really worked, he has also looked into my diet and eating patterns and given me advice that is costing me a fortune in smaller size clothes.
You cannot buy the feeling when you fit into a pair of size 30 jeans for the first time in 22 years.
I now have muscles developing where before there was just fat, he has even improved on a long standing problem area for me: my wallet - opening muscles, these have strengthened to the point where i keep booking Paul again and again.

NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS BEING SLIM FEELS!
I hadn't really noticed my weight creeping on until one day I looked at some photographs that had been taken and was truly shocked.
I immediately booked an assessment with Paul thinking I would get a programme and go my own way in the gym. I was totally astounded by the information I received from Paul, not just about exercise but also my eating habits and lifestyle. He gave me some of the best advice I have ever received. I was so motivated from his advice I then booked in for a personal training session. When asked what my goal was, being a size 16, I replied "I'd like to be a size 10 by Christmas" (Christmas being only 12 week's away). I was only joking and didn't think I'd get anywhere close to a size 10. I hadn't been a size 10 since I was age 10!
I started to train once or twice a week with Paul and was so motivated I even trained a few times by myself. I couldn't believe how quickly I started to see results and the jogging bottoms that I originally bought for the gym were now too big for me. True to his word 12 week's later I could comfortably fit into size 10 clothes and for Christmas I even bought a size 8 dress.
Paul has truly changed me as a person and my whole perception of food and exercise is now totally different. I actually eat more (which sounds crazy) and I can honestly say I will never go back to how I was. He makes so much sense, nothing is faddy or O.T.T.
Paul truly is a inspiration and I cannot thank him enough. Don't get me wrong, I hate him for the god awful stuff he makes me do but no pain, no gain and it really is true. Nothing tastes as good as being slim.

Bev was my personal trainer for the best part of 5 months during which time I got fitter, lost a stone & lost lots of inches. I can truly say that I always enjoyed my training sessions & looked forward to them on many occasions (even at 6.30 in the morning). The sessions were tough but Bev always varied them so I was never bored at all. She was also very flexible with the exercises - making them harder if they were easy for me,and changing them if I struggled. I dont think I will ever enjoy tricep dips but I got much better at them and my arms have definitely benefitted! Bev is very qualified to do the job but is also a really nice person, easy to chat to & easy to get on with. So thanks Bev for making my fitness journey such an enjoyable and rewarding one. I am only sorry that a job move abroard meant our training sessions had to end.

I had been a member of the health spa for several years. During that time I was generally keeping fit but not acheiving much else. During that time i was generally keeping fit. During one of my rowing exercises Paul was in the gym and gave me a few pointers. I also noticed him giving a training session and thought - that is the way to go. After talking to Paul he asked what i wanted to acheive "well a ladies equivalent of a six pack would be nice and generally toning up" was my reply. I thenI then enrolled for twelve sessions once a fortnight. During this time he reguiarly reviewed my progress and varied the exercises to keep it interesting. He always explained what he was trying to acheive and this kept my motivation, when the weight started to come of and the muscle tone improved it encouraged me to to stick with the program. I always look forward to or training sessions even though at times my muscles ached for days now 6 months later i have lost the excess weight, feel fitter and all my friends want to know how i acheived it. I will continue training with Paul to keep the momentum going. Start training with Paul and you can acheive your goal too.

My husband booked me a personal traineras a gift. I admit when it came to my first session i was nervous.
Paul Mason put me at ease within minutes with his style and personality.
I have now been training with Paul for the last twelve months and am so pleased with the results, my body shape has changed, i am more toned, he also listened to what i wanted to change about my body. He is a tough task master but makes exercise fun in the process.
People around me have noticed a change, Iam more confident about myself and my body image, i have to say that is down to Paul encouraging me, sharing his knowledge, explaining why we are doing a particular exercise and what results it will show me, i have to say his motivational skills are second to none.
