Favourite quote: This is my tip in life, always look for the positive. Sometimes things don’t work out as well as you’d like but there’s nearly always something positive to take from every situation. Seek the positive and use it to drive you forward to achieve your goals.

Experience/Interests: I’ve always been an active person but it was 24 when I found athletics and started training with real focus After 19 years of competing I decided to start coaching other athletes. I enjoyed it so much I decided to change my career to become a Personal Trainer. Roger took up running in 1989, at the age of 24. Within 4 years he was ranked 41st in the UK, over the 10000m distance. Over the years Roger has won many honours including a European Championship medal and many National Championships. He has represented both Britain and Scotland and, at 45, continues to perform as one of the top athletes in the UK in his age group. Roger is self coached and has coached others to great effect, including other National Champions.
